DB103: Introduction to Data Modelling (1/2 day)
Course Overview
This seminar is designed to give the student a broad
understanding of the key aspects, issues, techniques, and products
related to data modelling for modern database systems. Topics
covered include types of data modelling, stages of
analysis, converting between different types of models, modelling
notations, handling meta data and modelling work practices.
Audience
Pre-Requisites
No prior experience with database systems is assumed although
any prior usage of databases will be beneficial, as will any modern
programming and/or systems design background.
